Our story begins with Gemma and Kyle, two parents from Scunthorpe, who came together with a shared vision— to create a business that combines their passion for family, their love for their work, and their drive to build something special. Gemma's Journey: A Heart for Care and Progress
Gemma has always had a natural nurturing instinct. A mum of two, she works as a dedicated health care professional in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Scunthorpe Hospital. It’s a job that requires strength, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her patients, often in the most trying of circumstances. Gemma's passion for caring for others is at the heart of everything she does, and it’s what drives her to always push for progress in both her career and personal life.

She’s not just a mother and a health care assistant; Gemma’s also a dreamer, always looking for new ways to challenge herself and grow. This same drive to improve and innovate led her to start GiftsUnseen.com. While Gemma continues to work full-time in the NICU, she’s also the heart and soul of our online store, overseeing product selection, curating special gifts, and making sure every order feels personal and meaningful.

Kyle's Journey: From Warehouse to Operations to Entrepreneur
Kyle’s path to entrepreneurship was shaped by his early experiences as a father. At just 18 years old, Kyle became a dad for the first time, and with the birth of his son just a day after his 18th birthday, his journey into responsibility began. He entered the workforce, taking on a role in a warehouse to support his growing family.

For several years, Kyle worked hard to provide for his loved ones. In 2007, after years of dedication and learning on the job, Kyle began working for a doormat company. Over the next seven years, he grew from an entry-level position to Head of Operations, overseeing the entire business. His passion for creating and problem-solving in the business world only grew, and even though he still loves his role at DoormatsOnline, Kyle knew there was more he wanted to achieve.

This desire to build something of his own led him to join Gemma in launching GiftsUnseen.com. Kyle brings his extensive experience in business operations, logistics, and management to the table, making sure that our operations run smoothly and that each customer has a seamless experience when shopping with us.
